The winning bidder is responsible for supplying proper manpower, equipment (i.e. dolly, pallet jack, forklift, etc.), and vehicles (truck size/type) for pick up. No equipment or manpower will be supplied by the City of Patterson. You are required to pick up all items included in the auction. All individuals will be required to sign a City of Patterson "Hold Harmless" agreement before being able to access the item.

The City of Patterson does not warrant conformity of vehicles to the requirements of the California Vehicle Code. Pursuant to California Vehicle Code 24007.5, notice is given that all buyers of vehicles must obtain a certificate of compliance for smog control devices prior to registration. The document certifies the vehicle complies with applicable Health and Safety Code requirements. Purchases by dealers and vehicles sold for dismantling or for exclusive off-highway use are exempt from this requirement.

Payment is due within five days of winning an auction. No deposits or partial payments will be accepted. Credit card, money order or cashier's check, are acceptable forms of payment. Cash is NOT an acceptable form of payment. Please see the Payment and Pick up Procedures provided by Publicsurplus.com for additional details.


This vehicle is sold as is, with no warranties or guarantees. The winning bidder is responsible for smog, registration, and removal. The City of Patterson has the vehicle available for inspection prior to the closing of the auction by appointment only and during regular business hours. If the buyer does not opt to inspect the vehicle prior to the closing of the auction, the buyer accepts the automobile AS IS, WITH ALL FAULTS.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award of the winning bid.

City of Patterson will charge a sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for removal or pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Removal must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award of the winning bid. The notice of award, the payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at the time of pick-up, or the City of Patterson will not release the item to you.
