Solid running, clean Subaru Outback. We received this vehicle from a local owner after her son began replacing the radiator but was unable to finish the job. We completed the repair, and the Outback started easily, ran well, and performed exactly as expected during our testing.
The body is straight and presents well, especially for a 20-year-old vehicle. There is a scuff on the front bumper, as shown in the photos. The interior is clean, with leather seats that are free of tears, stains, or significant wear.
The attached Carfax report includes documented service history. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at approximately 125,000 miles, and additional maintenance has been performed over the years. Front and rear brakes and tires were replaced at 123K miles. Overall, this appears to have been a well-maintained vehicle.
Our evaluation included a 30-minute warm-up and idle period followed by a 15-minute road test on streets, the highway, and gravel roads. The vehicle performed well throughout the test drive with no issues noted. The air conditioning blows cold, the AWD system operates properly, no warning lights were illuminated during our inspection and road test, and the tires have good tread remaining.

Out-of-state buyers do not pay sales tax. Colorado state residents will be required to pay an additional 2.9% sales tax. La Plata County, Colorado residents will be required to pay state and county tax for a total rate of 5.9%. This will be billed and collected independently of your Public Surplus invoice.

Vehicles come to us from a number of different sources and, in most cases, we do not have a history with these vehicles. We do our best to represent the condition of vehicles, but we are not mechanics and vehicles do not undergo a mechanical inspection.
You are welcome to come inspect any of the vehicles, but they may not be taken off the premises. Please feel free to contact us with questions. Email is the preferred method.

Bid Deposits: Motors For Good may require bid deposits to ensure fairness to all buyers.
Payment. Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after the date of the Notice of Award of the successful bid. Payment must be made in one of the following ways:

Wire Transfer
Payment may only be made online by credit card, ACH transfer, or by wire transfer. NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award of the winning bid.
Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
Vehicle abandonment and storage. If the Buyer, after making payment for an item, fails to pick up the vehicle within 10 business days, the agency will consider the vehicle abandoned and will (1) to retain all payments; and (2) to dispose of the item through another auction or otherwise. No refund will be given for vehicle abandonment. The agency, at its sole discretion, may elect to store the vehicle for up to 90 days at a private, secure location. The cost for this storage is $35 per day.
