Payment must be received within 5 calendar days of auction ending. If the item(s) are not picked up within 10 business days of the auction ending, the item(s) may be re-awarded or relisted, and no refunds will be given. 

Winning bidder must make an appointment in order to pick up. All appointments need to be scheduled & confirmed with Erin @ (386) 424-3170. Pickups will NOT be permitted without an appointment. Pickup hours are Monday -Friday between 8:30am-3:00pm. DO NOT come to Fleet Maintenance without an appointment as the gates remain locked by security.

The winning bidder is responsible for supplying proper manpower, equipment (i.e. dolly, handtruck, etc.), and appropriate vehicles for pickup. No equipment or manpower will be supplied by New Smyrna Beach Utilities You are required to pick-up all items included in the auction. License plates have been removed, and temporary tags will NOT be provided. 

We do not ship items or accept any pre-paid shipping labels. If you are unable to pick up your auction winnings in person, you may specify a family member or friend to pick up the item for you, or you may hire a courier/freight company to pick up, pack and ship the items to you. If you require a courier/freight company to pick up your auction winnings you must contact Erin @ (386) 424-3170 before doing any pickup scheduling.

New Smyrna Beach Utilities shall deny access to pick up auction winnings if the bidder arrives unprepared to SAFELY remove said items within the time allocated for the pickup, regardless of distance traveled or under any other circumstances.

We retain the right to cancel the auction at any time, and to accept or refuse any offers. 

Any awarded amount to exceed $25,000.00 will need to go to Commission for approval.

Standard Disclaimer for New Smyrna Beach Utilities:

Viewing of Auction items by appointment only.

PayMac, a third-party processing company handles all payments for Utilities Commission, City of New Smyrna Beach DBA New Smyrna Beach Utilities. Payment for an awarded item must be received within 5 business days of close of auction.

Buyers Premium: A 10% Buyer Premium will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction to collect payment.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from said agencies premises within 5 business days of notification by Public Processing of receipt of payment. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up or the said agency will not release the item to you.

Bid Deposits: New Smyrna Beach Utilities may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding.

Pick-up hours by appointment only. Successful bidder will be responsible for removal of item.

Successful bidder will be responsible for cost of packing and/or shipping of any item(s) if necessary.
