Known Condition

• Bus starts and runs, but is NOT drivable.
• The engine leaks coolant from the rear of the engine. The issue is believed to be related to the turbocharger or EGR cooler, but no diagnosis or repairs have been performed.
• Additional mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, or operational issues may exist that are unknown to the district.

Vehicle Information

• License plates have been removed.
• All emergency equipment (fire extinguisher, first aid kit, radio and traffic triangles, etc.) will be removed before pickup.
• Maintenance records will not be provided.
• Temporary tags will not be provided.
• Title transfer, registration, taxes, and all associated costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder.

Pickup Information

• Pickup is by appointment only during normal business hours.
• The winning bidder is responsible for all loading, transportation, and removal of the vehicle. James A. Garfield Local Schools does not provide loading assistance, tools, equipment, forklifts, or personnel.
• Because the vehicle is not drivable, it must be towed or transported with appropriate equipment.
• No repairs or maintenance may be performed on school property.

Third-Party Pickup
If someone other than the winning bidder will pick up the vehicle, written or emailed authorization from the winning bidder must be provided before the vehicle will be released. The authorized representative must present a paid receipt and valid photo identification.
