Known Condition
- Bus starts and runs, but is NOT drivable.
- The engine leaks coolant from the rear of the engine. The issue is believed to be related to the turbocharger or EGR cooler, but no diagnosis or repairs have been performed.
- Additional mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, or operational issues may exist that are unknown to the district.
Vehicle Information
- License plates have been removed.
- All emergency equipment (fire extinguisher, first aid kit, radio and traffic triangles, etc.) will be removed before pickup.
- Maintenance records will not be provided.
- Temporary tags will not be provided.
- Title transfer, registration, taxes, and all associated costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder.
Pickup Information
- Pickup is by appointment only during normal business hours.
- The winning bidder is responsible for all loading, transportation, and removal of the vehicle. James A. Garfield Local Schools does not provide loading assistance, tools, equipment, forklifts, or personnel.
- Because the vehicle is not drivable, it must be towed or transported with appropriate equipment.
- No repairs or maintenance may be performed on school property.
Third-Party Pickup
If someone other than the winning bidder will pick up the vehicle, written or emailed authorization from the winning bidder must be provided before the vehicle will be released. The authorized representative must present a paid receipt and valid photo identification.
Please bid accordingly. By placing a bid, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the information provided and accept the vehicle in its current condition.

Pay Mac, Inc. handles all payments for JAMES A GARFIELD LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.
Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.
JAMES A GARFIELD LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT may charge sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.
A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
Pick-up hours by appointment only.
The successful bidder will be responsible for packing, and/or loading any item(s) at pick-up, if necessary.
