The Houston Forensic Science Center no longer processes or receives payments.  All payments will be made via Credit Card or Wire Transfer through Public Surplus.

We are not experts on the items listed for auction.  We receive them from multiple sources and are not responsible or accountable for the condition we receive them.  

WE DO NOT INSPECT EVERY ITEM TO SEE IF IT WORKS

We strongly encourage bidders to inspect items of interest. You MUST schedule an appointment to do so.

Your bid is a decision to buy this item. Once winning bid is awarded, customers will not be allowed to view the item(s) to decide whether they will pay for it. Ample time is provided to view items before the auction ends. Management reserves the right to block/ban customers who abandon property or refuse to pay for an item, or for any other reason in the best interests of HFSC.

Payments must be made within five (5) BUSINESS days of the auctions close either online via credit card or wire transfer. Items not paid within the allotted time will be forfeited and awarded to the 2^nd highest bidder.

Item(s) not picked up within 30 days of payment will be considered abandon. Item(s) will be re-auctioned, and funds will NOT be refunded.

The winning bidder must provide their own labor and materials to remove item(s) from the warehouse and must take all items at time of pickup.  If you abandon any item(s) you will be blocked.  

APPOINTMENT MUST BE MADE TO PICKUP ITEMS.

If someone other than the winning bidder is picking up your item, you must fax/email a letter of authorization with the following: 

1. Third party name
2. Auction number and item description
3. Your name or company name, complete address and phone number as well as a copy of your Driver's License and theirs.  

We must receive the letter and copy of license before we release any item.
