Northeast Texas Community College is offering for public auction a vintage aluminum bread truck / step van body.

The exact year, make, and model are unknown. Based on the design and construction, the body appears to be from approximately the 1940s–1950s era; however, NTCC makes no guarantee regarding the year or manufacturer.

This body may be suitable for a restoration project, custom vehicle build, food truck or concession project, display, storage, or other repurposing project.

IMPORTANT – REMOVAL REQUIREMENTS

THE WINNING BIDDER IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL LABOR, EQUIPMENT, LOADING, REMOVAL, AND TRANSPORTATION OF THIS ITEM.

NTCC will not provide equipment, tools, lifting devices, trailers, transportation, or labor to assist with removal.

The winning bidder must arrive with all necessary personnel and properly sized equipment required to safely load and transport the body. This may include, but is not limited to, a suitable trailer, winch, forklift, crane, rollback, rigging equipment, or other equipment necessary for removal.

The bidder is responsible for determining how the body will be safely removed and transported prior to bidding.

The winning bidder will also be responsible for any damage caused to NTCC property, buildings, pavement, grounds, or other facilities during removal.

Removal must be coordinated with NTCC Plant Services and completed during an approved date and time.

INSPECTION

Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the item in person prior to bidding. It is the bidder's responsibility to determine the condition, dimensions, weight, removal requirements, and suitability of the item for their intended use.

This item is being sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, WITH NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.

NTCC makes no guarantee regarding the item's age, manufacturer, structural condition, completeness, functionality, weight, dimensions, or suitability for any particular purpose.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.


Northeast Texas Community College will charge a sales tax of 8%. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding.

A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.

The successful bidder will be responsible for packing, and/or loading any item(s) at pick-up, if necessary.
