Description
Condition: FAIR
This framed reproduction of the Cantino map, made by an unknown Portuguese chartmaker, depicts what the Portuguese knew of the world in 1502. In addition to the main map in the middle, there are 10 close-ups and information about the various cities, islands, countries depicted on the map. This matted piece is behind glass.  The frame has quite a few scratches and chips on it. Some segments of the artwork have come loose from the matting and have moved around, so they need to be reset in the matting. Photos include some close-ups of the damage to the frame and show evidence that the artwork has come loose from the matting. The piece measures 33.5" x 33.5".

PayMac handles "ALL PAYMENTS" for the Canyons School District. Payment for an awarded item must be received within 5 business days of close of auction.

Canyons School District may charge sales tax. The buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

Buyers Premium: A 8.5% Buyer Premium shall be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction to collect payment.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from said agencies premises within 5 business days of notification by Public Surplus of receipt of payment. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up or the said agency will not release the item to you.

Bid Deposits: The Canyons School District may require bid deposits to ensure fairness and equity to all buyers as a way to decrease default bidding.

Successful bidder will be responsible for removal of item.
