  • RESERVE PRICES WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED.
  • ALL KNOWN ISSUES ARE LISTED AND ALL AVAILABLE PICTURES POSTED.
  • WINNING BIDDER IS REQUIRED TO PROVIDE ALL EQUIPMENT AND MANPOWER NEEDED TO REMOVE AUCTION ITEM.
  • YOU ARE EXPECTED TO BRING A VEHICLE THAT IS LARGE ENOUGH TO ACCOMMODATE YOUR PURCHASE.
  • YOU ARE EXPECTED TO LOAD YOUR OWN ITEMS. IF YOU CANNONT LIFT OR CARRY YOUR WINNINGS, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING SOMEONE WITH YOU.
  • WE DO NOT HAVE A LOADING DOCK.

Viewing & pick up times are Monday – Thursday  8am – 3pm

No weekend, holiday or after-hours appointments will be made

All property is offered for sale As-Is, Where-Is. Garfield County makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. The Buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages - special, direct, indirect, or consequential.

Winning bidders MUST make an appointment for Pick up.

We do not have a loading dock at our facility, it is up to you to bring all appropriate and necessary tools and additional help for loading an auction item i.e. lowboy, car dolly, winch, etc.

Winning bidder must pick up item within 10 days of the close of auction—NO EXCEPTIONS!

Winning bidder must provide valid ID when picking up auction item.

Garfield County will not ship property.  Winner is responsible for picking up the property within 10 business days of the close of the auction.  If the winner does not pick up the property Garfield County reserves the right to 1) retain all payments and 2) dispose of the property in any manner desirable to the County, including resale.  Repeat violations of pickup will be cause to block the bidder from future auctions.

We do not accept payments in our office. All payments must be made to PayMac through the Public Surplus website. For payment/wire transfer instructions or questions you will need to contact Public Surplus.

All payments must be made within 5 days of notice of award.Failure to make payment will be considered default and the bidder will be blocked from participating in future auctions.

**NOTE** If you are having a 3rd party pick up items:  Print out, complete, and email the attached transport form along with all required information to rroman@garfield-county.com  DO NOT send through Public Surplus email.Items will not be released to anyone other than winning bidder without the completed form. Transport will be turned away if this form is not returned before they arrive. Garfield County is not responsible for obtaining this information.

PayMac handles all payments for Garfield County.

Acceptable forms of payment are: Wire Transfer or Credit Card.
NO CASH, CHECKS, OR MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

Wire Transfers may take up to 48 business hours to post. Once your payment has been posted you will receive a receipt of your payment by email.


Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.

A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

Garfield County may collect sales tax if applicable unless the buyer provides a tax exempt certificate.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
