1990 Boston Whaler 17 Montauk – Boat, Motor & Trailer

The Branch County Sheriff’s Office is offering for sale a 1990 Boston Whaler 17 Montauk. The boat is being sold with the motor and trailer included.

Boat:

  • In good running/operating condition

Motor:

  • 2016 Tohatsu SE Sport
  • 90 HP
  • Four-stroke
  • Used condition
  • In good running condition

Trailer:

  • Trailer is included with the sale.

IMPORTANT SALE INFORMATION:

Be advised that this boat, motor, and trailer have been previously used and may contain normal wear, cosmetic imperfections, or other defects consistent with their age and prior use. While the boat and motor are currently reported to be in good running condition, no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, are made regarding the condition or future operation of the boat, motor, trailer, or any associated equipment. The entire package is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS.

The buyer is solely responsible for ALL loading, shipping, transporting, coordinating payments, and pick-up with our municipality within the required time frame. No exceptions. All PublicSurplus.com terms and conditions will be strictly enforced.

Please bring sufficient equipment, tools, transportation, and manpower necessary to safely remove the boat and trailer. Our municipality does not assist with loading or transportation of any kind.

In the event that a third party, other than the listed buyer, will be picking up the boat on the buyer's behalf, the buyer must provide an email authorizing the third party to remove the item. The email must include a copy of the buyer's identification.

Prospective bidders are encouraged to inspect the boat, motor, and trailer prior to bidding. Any inspection must be scheduled in advance.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award.


Branch County may charge sales tax. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding. When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment.

A Buyers Premium of 10.5% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.

All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.

The successful bidder will be responsible for pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Pick-up must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award. The notice of award, payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at time of pick-up, or the item will not be released.
