Description
Condition: SEE DESCRIPTION

Item Overview:
Lot includes:

  • Wyatt Technology Corporation – DAWN® DSP Laser Photometer (blue chassis with front display and control buttons: “SET TEMPERATURE,” “LASER,” “ALARM DISABLE,” “TEMPERATURE CONTROL,” power rocker, etc.).
  • Uniphase laser module (black enclosure mounted on top; rear data label visible in photos) with cabling.
  • Remote Interface module (panel shows “MODEL 2501 REMOTE INTERFACE,” controls for current / light, interlocks, status indicators).
  • Various cables/leads and connectors as shown.

Condition:

  • UNTESTED. We have not applied power. Operational status is unknown.
  • Physical condition shows typical institutional wear (scratches, dust, dinged fan filter, missing panel screws in places, cut/loose leads visible at rear).
  • Only the items visible in the photos are included. No manuals, optics, sample cells, or accessories beyond what’s pictured.

Notable labels / ports visible:

  • Rear panel shows “VAPOR INTERLOCK,” “SERIAL OUT,” “AUX,” “CORR OUT,” “VOLTAGE SELECT,” IEC power inlet, and cooling fan with worn filter.
  • Uniphase module label present; cabling to interlocks/remote.
  • Safety labels indicating laser device; treat as equipment containing a Class I/III subsystem when enclosed—handle with caution and assume no safety interlocks are present/working (surplus condition).

AS-IS / WHERE-IS. No guarantees on completeness or performance. Buyer responsible for testing/repair.

Suggested Alternative Uses (parts / refurb / training)

  • Spare parts harvesting for other DAWN® DSP instruments (power supply boards, fans, housings, wiring, connectors).
  • Training platform for electronics troubleshooting (power supplies, cooling, interlock loops, serial comms).
  • Optics/laser hobbyist projects (using the Uniphase head and remote interface with proper safety controls in a compliant lab setting).
  • Donor chassis/enclosure for custom benchtop builds (control electronics, test racks).

Reminder: Any reuse involving lasers must follow applicable safety standards and interlock requirements.
