FAIR
- Rochester Public Utilities is selling approximately 2,000 cubic yards of excess soil material generated from previous water main repairs.
- Testing indicates material analytical results are less than the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Unregulated Fill criteria, making this material Unregulated Fill if exported. Stockpile may have small amounts of concrete and asphalt.
- Bidders are required to review a copy of the attached soil analytical results prior to submitting a bid. Testing results attached.
- Bids are lump sum for 1,000 cubic yards only. Two highest responsive bids may be accepted for a total of 2,000 cubic yards. Bids will not be accepted for less than 1,000 cubic yards.
- Successful bidders will be required to load and haul the material from the pick-up location between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, at their expense using tandem axle dump trucks or larger hauling equipment.
- All purchased material shall be removed from the site on or before October 17, no exceptions, or the material will be considered abandoned.
- Pick-up is available by appointment only. Auction winners will be provided instructions to schedule a pick-up of their items.

RPU will charge sales tax of 7.875%. The tax rate will be calculated at the time of bidding on an item(s). When sales tax is included, the buyer shall add and include the sales tax amount when making payment. RPU does not collect sales tax for vehicle or trailer sales. S/T is collected when the Title is transferred.
Buyers Premium: A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email. Buyer must remove auction item(s) from RPU premises within 10 days of bidding close. The payment receipt must be presented at the time of pick up or the item will not be released to you.
