[ View/Ask ]This unit was an unmarked police vehicle assigned to the Criminal Investigations Bureau, as the department’s administrative vehicle. Prior to being assigned to administrative duties, this vehicle was used as an unmarked K9 vehicle in both the Criminal Investigations Bureau and Patrol Bureau. The vehicle has an unknown amount of idle hours. This vehicle was taken out of service due to an internal engine failure. The vehicle began misfiring on cylinder 5 and after several repair attempts, maintenance deemed there was an internal failure of some sort. The vehicle will run, but poorly with lots of noise coming from the engine. The vehicle will start without a jump. The vehicle does have holes from removed police equipment on the interior and exterior. The vehicle has minor nicks and dings throughout from use. The vehicle comes with three (3) keys. Due to previous K9 use, the vehicle has been equipped with an aftermarket remote start system. The vehicle and the vehicle’s service records may be inspected Monday – Friday from 8:30AM to 3:30PM, appointments preferred, but not required.
Additional Known Issues:
Engine mounts are bad
Rear brake calipers are in need of replacement
Factory AM/FM radios does not work, the auxiliary function and CD player do work
Passenger side sliding door’s power lock does not work, will only lock and unlock manually
This vehicle is SOLD AS IS. Vehicle must be picked up within two (2) weeks of the auction completing. Due to the issues outlined, it is recommended the vehicle be towed.
Bid Deposits: City of Westminster may require bid deposits to ensure fairness to all buyers.

Payment for an awarded item must be received within five (5) business days after notice of award of the winning bid.
City of Westminster will not charge a sales tax. Buyer is responsible for remitting sales tax to State of Maryland.
Buyers Premium:Â A Buyers Premium of 10% will be added to the final sale price with a $1 minimum charge per auction for payment collections. This premium if applicable will be visible during the bidding process and added to the total bid.
All sales are final. Public Surplus will notify buyer of receipt of payment via email.
The successful bidder will be responsible for removal or pick-up of item(s) from the agency's premises. Removal must occur within ten (10) business days after notification of award of the winning bid. The notice of award, the payment receipt, and personal identification must be presented at the time of pick-up, or the City of Westminster will not release the item to you.

The successful bidder will be responsible for the packing, loading and/or transporting of any item(s), if necessary.
